Sustainability
Besides being a veterinary clinic, an interest of the clinic is to minimize our carbon footprint on the environment. We currently have a grid tied 6kW wind turbine that generates about 50% of our electrical needs. Installation of a 6.6kW solar panel system in 2017 now provides all the energy the clinic consumes with excess remaining energy. This excess energy is now used to charge an EV and to generate distilled water for clinic use instead of buying it in plastic gallon containers. All glass, metal, paper, plastic, and cardboard that is not contaminated is recycled. All paper products used with in the clinic are made of recycled product. We wash all our laundry in a low water consumption front loading washer with environmentally friendly soap. As of the end of 2023, we have removed all vaccine refrigerators and freezers using synthetic refrigerants (Chlorofluorocarbons) and have replaced them with vaccine refrigerators and freezers that use natural refrigerants (R290 and R600A) with low/moderate GWP (Global Warming Potential).

Dr. Kettering has been a part of our fur family for over 20 years now. Each time my fur babies have needed treatment or just routine checkups he and all his loving staff have taken care of them. All my animals liked going to the vet. Right after my husband passed away my oldest lab became ill and Dr. Kettering and his staff were a blessing and helped with some of the costs of care for my girl. I love them all.
